I know that the heads do not have the EGR passage way. My question is this what do i need to do with my current egr valve if these heads do not have the passages? Also is there a way to run the EGR or eliminate it all together?

Any help, HELPS!!!!

The heads not having an EGR passage essentially eliminates it permenantly.

Just bolt the EGR onto the manifold to keep the hole covered...it won't do anything else. You might throw an EGR code every once in awhile..but thats it.

Can't you make the EGR work with the Aluminum Corvette heads though?

If you don't need to pass a visual for smog, only a functioanl test, route the EGR from a header tube or the exhaust manifold. Either will require a bit of drilling and tapping (manifold) or drilling and welding (headers). You can probably use a EGR valve from the Vette's?

I think Kevin91Z did this mod.

Keep in mind that you may not be able to do this, per your local smog laws.

Yep I did. I modified my SLP headers and used a TPIS intake manifold with the Corvette EGR port and used a tube to connect the header to the intake manifold. I have pics I can post and show you tonight.

Edit: Scoggin Dickey has the kit now to make this work with their Vortec heads, its the same thing.
