help....new 383 has a miss!!!
Motor starts and runs fine until it builds some heat and then it develops a miss. Could it be my stock ac delco plug wires that are run too close together and jumping spark ????
Any info appreciated!!

Are they new wires? If not they might be melted and arcing. My AC delcos melted and arced with about 10k miles next to hot headers. You might want to run the engine in a totally dark place and watch for arcing.
Also are you positively sure it's not a vacuum leak? I could have swore I had a miss, but it was really a vacuum leak.

Yes they are new wires. I thought maybe because i bunched some of them together really close they might be arcing.
I did look at the motor running in the dark and the only leakage of spark seemed to be coming from the boot where it snaps onto the plug.? I gapped the plugs at .35 and was not sure if that was a tight enough gap or not.
I did have a vacuum leak in the beginning at the runner gasket but fixed it but that miss was occuring all the time. it seemes to run really smooth now only missing after 5 minutes or so????
Is there anything else i am missing???
