best rod bearing choice

i have an 87 and later roller 355 block with stock crank and stock rods. i installed new arp rod bolts and want to change the bearings since there cheap. what would you suggest for this setup, i dont want a cheap bearing, but i need something that will stand up to the 450 or so hp this will be makeing with the stuff i have for it. i have been looking at the clevite 77's and the federal mogul stuff. what series would you suggest for this:
clevite p- rod bearings

Clevite H-Series Rod Bearings

federal mogul cp series

federal mogul ch rod bearing
http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=egnsearch.asp

federal mogul a series
http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...FEM%2D2020CP10

i was leaning more toward the clevite p series or the fm cp series.

which would you suggest from experience. i have heard good and bad about both companys, so you input would be valued.

thans
anthony

any parrticular reason you suggest these? i found it interesting that the A line "can actually polish the crank because of the silicone embeded in the bearing". this makes me wonder if these would remove enough material over a long enough period of time to cause problems.

sorry about the links for the fed mogul bringing up clevite stuff, dont know why it did that. i will fix it

thanks
anthony

I use the Clevite H series because my aftermarket crank journal has a radius that factory bearings won't clear. Same with the mains.

I think the P series is designed for factory cranks but the H series will also work.

I use Federal Mogul because they're available locally. Others have complained about Clevite's lack of quality control in past years.

I wouldn't worry about the A series comment, especially if the journals are properly finished to begin with.

the crank is still in good shape. the engine allready has clevite 77's in it but the engine must not have been clean when first started up (i bought this motor with less than 2000 mi on it in an iroc that i got cheap) so a couple of the bearings have minor scars on them (barely feel them with the finger nail), and the crank has no signs of damge. so new bearings are in order.

for some reason i cant get summit to give the right address while navagating there site (the address wont change while navagating) and its late so i gave up getting them all to work. i think all but the a series link works.

keep the coments coming, it will be tomarrow before i order them.

thanks
anthony

FM or C&A is all i'd use, too many bad experiences with no quality control clevite bearings
