Any Tips on Replacing the Fuel Pump?

This would be on an 85 IROC, LG4. Holley after market.

I don't think there's anything really tricky about it. Unless there's something I'm not considering on your '85 that is different than my carbed cars. It's just a remove and reinstall type of thing I would imagine. The fuel pump pushrod can be a trick if it slides down on you, but I've never really had too many problems with it.

A funny story: I had a suspicious fuel pump on my hobby stock dirt car one night so I yanked the one off my '65 chevy tow vehicle and used it on the racecar . I had to swap it back at the end of the night to get home. LOL

I noticed your location and you're not that far from me...well, only a few hours. Reading some of your other posts, we seem to have some of the same types of philosophy toward our f-bodies. Give me an email sometime and we'll chat.

If you got a carb, it's a simple little job, right on the block. If it's Inj, however, it's a 2 day process (unless you have access to all the right equipment, like a full garage with a lift). I'm working on mine now and dropping the gas tank is not fun at all.
