Would a Centerforce Dual Friction be worth it?
Check out my sig and tell me if a Dual Friction clutch would be worth it for me please. Or should I just go with the Centerforce 1 clutch?

Probably not. I put one in my 92Z28convt and probably did not need one but, it's a job I don't want to do again anytime soon! I've been happy with my clutch over the past 20K miles. You should probably go with a name brand stock unit and save some money.

No. I can almost guarantee you that any lack of power that you are feelings is NOT from clutch slippage - which is the only thing that the centerforce dual friction clutch will solve.

1976 Corvette Stingray - not so rough, but always ready. 427 BBC .030 over (433 ci) 12.5:1 compression about 600-700 HP/World Class T5 tranny, and no, I can't gun it for fear of breaking my tranny - upgrading to a muncie/gear vendors O/D as soon as I get some more $$$

What about the centerforce 2? It's only a few dollars more than the 1, and a whole lot less than the dual friction. The way you can tell which is which is by the powdercoating. The 1 is a gold colour, the 2 is that centerforce orange.
The dual friction is a bit of overkill, but buying the 1 is dumb when you can get a better clutch for a few more dollars. Go with the 2.

What exactly makes the CF 2 that much better than the 1 that makes it worth even $.50 more? You can smear a flaming bag of poo all over a frisbee and it'll hold on a 2.8. Unless the CF 2 is going to last longer, I don't see a point.

yeah remember, generally the more power a clutch will hold, the shorter it's life will be due to softer friction compounds. If you need more holding power, well you'll be happy changing your clutch every year or so, to get rid of clutch slippage, but if your car is stock or close to stock, there's no point unless running slicks.
same thing with brake pads,(but they're easy to change)
I'd recommend a stock replacement style clutch for your application, should be ~$120 for the whole clutch kit.
