Some of the accel coils make noise, and according to them its completely normal and you have to live with it if yours makes noise. I have one that is noisy and one not. Just a heads up, in case you are planning on mounting it close to the passenger compartment you will hear it buzzing away.

Hey the guys with the MSD coils, does it make a loud buzzing noise? I installed them on each of my two cousins mustang gt's and both made that annoying noise.

If you are talking about HEI coil, I'd go with the Accel. If I misunderstood, I apologize.

Otherwise, they are all about the same price, and I'd go with a brand that has a slightly better repuation, like MSD or maybe even Crane.

I have a Accel HEI Supercoil and have had no trouble what-so-ever. I'd buy it again, no problem.

I had an Accel "computerized remote HEI" supercoil; no problems (other than mounting the damn thing). Then I shelved it, and went with an MSD Blaster SS coil, simply because I bought an MSD 6AL box. Neither coil buzzed (at least to my ears)!

Mine is silent.... it's the Blaster II that mounts where the factory remote HEI setup does.

Must be because they're Mustangs....
