ok, this is my plan for right now. i got the gutless LG4. i was thinking about going with an l98 cam and porting the stock heads. with a nice intake and exhaust how much power will this add? also, would roller rockers be a worthwhile mod or not needed at this stage?

 

look up sitting bull, he did about the same and got roughly 300HP.

why not a 350 block? or is your short block ok now?

headers are your best bet?

 

Good luck trying to find an L98 cam that works in a flat tappet block.

 

actually i will be using an lb9 short block, l98 cam, and the ported lg4 heads..does that sound like a good combo?

 

He could get an '85 Trans Am TPI cam. That's the flat tappet L98 cam if he were to stick with his block.
