T.P.I. on to a 69 350 block????
I have a quick question on how hard it would be to put a Tuned Port Injection setup on a 350 block out of a 69 vette Stingray?? Would it go on with no problems, or would i have some problems. Also, would it be better if i just went carburated?? Also, does anyone have a Tuned Port Injection setup that they do not need anymore, maybe i could take it off your hands!!:-)

No problems. There is no magic left over from the Vette that would "reject" the TPI like some sort of a foreign transplanted organ, or otherwise keepo it from going on. The 350 blocks from Vettes are just like any other 350 blocks even from as humble an origin as an Impala or a truck, it's not anything special. It might have flat-top pistons but that's not Vette-specific either. Don't pay even a dime extra for the romantic-sounding "came from a 60s Vette" sucker line. Cast iron is cast iron, it retains no memory of what shape of sheet metal (or fiberglass) it has been wrapped in for any part of its life.

Well, when there's a will, there's a way. I don't think it would be all THAT hard, but definately nowhere near as easy as just putting a carb on it. You'd have to find a place to put the computer and all that equipment though.
It would also be a lot cheaper to go with a carb.
What are you looking for in this car? Since it's 1969, you don't have to worry about passing a smog test (although you wouldn't be able to take the smog equipment off your car, if you lived in an area that did the smog checks). With that in mind, you can put a carb on there and get a lot of power out of the engine without having to worry about being environmentally friendly, which is where the fuel injection systems really come in handy. TPI's are great at torque and fuel economy, but they fall short in the higher RPM range.
But there's ways of overcoming that too...

I am looking to drop the motor in my car and put a tuned port injection setup on it, and try as much as i can to let it pass smog. but i guess i will have to have luck huh??
