need an answer fast, question about the HEI module
I got this hei tune up kit, and one of the parts that is in there is a new module. Well I go to replace it today, and it turns out they are different. The one thats on my car right now has five prongs on the right side, and the new one only has two. Here is a picture.
I assume it has something to do with being conmputer controlled. what should I do, just leave my old one or can I make this new one work. Should I continue with my cap and rotor replacement or get a different module?

yellow 86 Camaro
LG4 700R4
ROH RH 17x9
Bridgestone Potenza RE730 255/45ZR17 all around
Pioneer head unit
Kenwood speakers
Infinity Beta Digital 300 amp
2 Infinity Perfect 12s
Now KYB equipped!!

thanks for including the pic..makes helping people out much easier.
you're right about the CC part..the 7 pin modules are for CC cars..the 4 pins are for non CC dist's. You can't use that module.
if you wanna get a new one that will work is up to you..I personally doubt you'd see much if any gain over a stocker unless you went to a CD type of ignition like an MSD.

i talked with the head engine builder at t/a performance (buick guys) about HEI's for a while, he said he's tried just about every aftermarket modual for the HEI's and said he hasent found any better then the stock GM units.
