used parts going in a performance rebuild?

What do you guys think about putting a used Vortec roller cam setup in a rebuild? I have a line on a killer deal for a Vortec topend. Included in the deal is a complete roller cam setup. I am going to buy another cam, so I won't be using the stock Vortec cam.

Can the roller lifters and cam be used, even though they were not used together when new? Does that make sense?

Which oil pump would you guys reccomend that I buy for the rebuild?

Which timing chain?

It has been a few years (well actually quite a few years ) since I have had to rebuild an engine.

Roller cams and lifters don't have to be kept matched to eachother the way a flat tappet cam and lifters do. You can reuse the lifters on your new cam if they are in good shape.
