rear hatch motor

i bet everybodies heard this one. It wont close. i had it opened the other day and my battery was disconnected. When i connected the battery i heard the buzzing. When i shut it i heard nothing. Then about a half hour later it shut on its own. So like a dumbass i had to open it again and now it wont shut. whats up with that? thanx

Down inside the hole where the motor is there is a switch or button. This raises and lowers the motor. When the motor is lowered it won't close the hatch, just hit the switch and the motor will raise. You'll hear and see it. Common problem.

same thing happened to me over the summer. turns out the actual little motor went, sooooooo....i opted to replace the whole thing. picked up the entire contraption (motor, switches, latches, coils, etc.) for 40 bucks at my favorite "junk" yard.
