HELP!! what does this mean?
Ok, last night when i was out driving, i noticed that when i accelerating after coming to a stop or almost stop (5 MPH), that the engine would hesitate before going, the RPMS would seem to drop, then it would go on like normal, also i noticed that everytime it would shift into 2nd, that it felt like i had lost alot of power at low RPMS. untill about 2000 RPMS. keeping a constant throttle the whole time. (haven't checked TPS yet, but last time i checked TPS it was fine, few months ago.)
i checked fuel pressure this morning, and it seemed to be fluctuating AGAIN (last time i checked it was perfect, but the time before that it was flucuating), and i also checked the vacumm at the same time. about 19"
however.. when i revved the engine, with vacumm going to FPR. the pressure went up when revving and down when i let off. BUT i noticed that right after i let off the throttle, about 1 sec later i would hear a TICK, sounding like the injectors, but it was just ONE tick, kinda loud. the injectors always tick kinda lound, but when i was revving it, you really can't hear them, but as soon as i let off the throttle and the RPMS returned to normal, i hear ONE tick sounding like its coming from the drivers side, maybe hear the fuel rail.
anyone got any clues?

Vader,
Are u suggestion the PCV is causing the clicking noise or the engine problems?
also, what is a good way to test the PCV besides shaking it and seeing it clicks?

Breathe,
I was trying to guess at what might make a single "tick" and also cause vacuum fluctuation at the FPR, poor idle and throttle response, and return to normal after the "tick" (valve closing).
It was just a guess. You might also want to check the brake booster and check valve. Since a TPI doesn't have an exhaust heat riser valve, you can rule out that possibility.
