car takes insanely long time to warm up!
Ok, when I go to start my car in the morning, it takes like 4-5 minutes before it is fully warmed up and idleling at around 700 rpms. I think this is way to long. I'm willing to wate 1-2 minutes, but this is getting rediculous (sp?) What can I do to make it warm up faster? My eninge is a fully stock LG4 and I just had a new choke pull-off put on.

4-5 min is about right. Choke pull-off has nothing to do with warm-up time, it simplyu allows full massive enrichment for intial start-up, then leans it it out a little to keep it from blowing black smoke and all that from being too rich once it gets running.

Matthew,
Do you have the E4ME carburetor (electrically heated choke)? If the choke heater is not working, it can take an "insanely long time" to warm up. Make sure there is 12VDC to the choke heater when the engine is idling (oil pressure switch is closed). If not, start looking at the auxilliary oil pressure switch, choke fuse, and wiring. Meter the heater element for continuity.

You think that is a long time, lol
For a while my car wouldn't warm up...ever, turned out to be a broken thermostat (robertshaws break in the open position).
Now that I fixed the thermo the engine starts and warms up in about 3-4 minutes and that's with my fan on with ignition.
Do you still have a functioning heatriser?
