Why doesn't my fan start?

I never figured out why my fan all of a sudden stopped working. I checked the fan motor, it's still good. My car's temp will start going up, and the fan won't kick in. Can anyone help me out 92 Firebird 305 TBI. Thanx! I'm new at this!

you prolly need a coolent fan sensor, dont get it at autozone, they gave me the wrong one, and take it with you just to be sure, its in between the 6th and 8th cylinder, has a wire comming from it

Yeah, fan switch (sensor) or fan relay located between master cylinder and fender on driver's side of firewall.

Look hears how you'll know. Start your engine and turn on your A/C if the fan comes on it's your temp sensor that's bad. It's located on the passenger side right under the manifold, it has a single wire conector.
If the fan does not come on with the A/C then its the fan relay located on the driver side of the fire wall. If you look you will see 2 small black boxes next to each other the fan relay is the one closest to the fender.
