My Lb9 has a 350 block, need to start checking other things...
Okay, I just found out yesterday that my Lb9 is in fact an L98. I still have to remove the valve cover and hope to see 083 on them and not find out that the block was the only thing changed over.
I believe the ECms are different, but if I remove the chip how will I know if it is an Lb9 chip or an L98? Do they have different numbers that designate between the two?
Obviously the Lb9 had 19# injectors, and the L98 has 22#. How can I tell the difference, does it say on the side of them or something?
What about the exhaust manifolds? I've heard the SD cars all had the same manifolds, regardless of size. So that shouldn't be a problem. But what about the rest of the exhaust, did they share the same exhaust as well? My car is an auto/ single cat car.
And the Knock sensor, same questions.
Did the L98 have a different TQ conv as well?
What else could be different that I can find out by looking or unbolting something quick?
Thanks guys!!

The ECM should be the same. Get the alpha code from the foil label on the PROM in the ECM. Your's is easier, since you only need to unclip the ECM to let it fall out (no screws). Remove the long cover on the top edge, and read the label through the cover.
