low CR and high boost, or high CR low boost?
Just wondering what would be better, to have a very low compression ratio and run an insane ammount of boost or run a fairly high CR and a low boost.
I guess it would all have to do with the flow of the heads and cam specs but in general anyone know which would be better?

For a motor that has to run on street pump gas you'll make more power with a motor that has a low compression ratio and more boost than a high compression ratio motor that willl not allow as much boost without detonation.

Youll get more peak power out of a motor with high boost and a lower compression ratio. Youll get a flatter torque curve out of a motor with high compression ratio and low boost.

Agreed with dankhound: If it's a strip-only car, run ~7:1 compression and 20+ psi boost. If it's street-only or street/strip, run 8:1+ and ~10 psi boost. When I get the money for my TT 383, I'd like to run 8:1 and 15 PSI boost.
