Service Engine Soon Light
This light comes on if I drive the car for longer distances...it doesn't seem to come on if I drive just a couple miles, but for longer trips it comes on and stays on. Before I make my appointment at the dealer, does anyone know what triggers this thing to come on? Car is a '92 Formula. Thanks for any help.

Axle/Gears: good question...
my 89 tbi would do that. Code 32 I think it was, emissons crap, just ignored it. Go to autozone and have them scan it. Or do the paperclip thing, but i dont know how to do that, someone else here can tell ya.

What kind of scanner would I need to do it myself? Not too big a fan of the local Auto-Zone crew.

I know what ya mean. Search for the paperclip thing. It will make the SES light blink the numder code it is.
