options for aftermarket fuel pumps for an LG4?

dude i made the mistake of following the chp my generation camaro and bought the holley fuel pump (pt. no 12-834). it is not emissions compliant and only has two lines instead of three out of the pump. my car has been running lean forever it seems and i could benefit from delivering the car more fuel. with all of my intake mods i haven't done a thing for fuel delievery... is there any sort of aftermarket fuel pump, smog legal or not, for an lg4? im talking about the block mounted one, not the intank model. thanks

If you've just replaced your pump it is unlikely to be the cause of your problems unless it is faulty. What carb are you running? I replaced my pump recently with a "stock" replacement but with no return line like your holley and get ample fuel for my q-jet with similar mods.

im running the stock q-jet and its got 117,000 on the clock. for some reason my car has been running lean for the past few months. so you say that you've ran the stock replacement without a return line? what did you do with the line that was leftover? does it matter if you plug it off or not? do you ever get the ses light coming on? wouldn't doing that increase my emissions? thanks

I use the stock AC/Delco L69 pump (I think it's the same as the LG4 one, I'm not sure); seems to work fine. I had it on a 400 that did 284 RW HP & 373 RW ft lbs... I'd think if that pump will move enough gas for that, it won't have any trouble handling a LG4's fuel demand.

Have you changed the fuel filter lately? That often causes carb cars to run lean, especially after prolonged high-load conditions.
