Summit Polished Intake???

I'm getting this for X-Mas, it's the dual plane idle-5500 rpm power band. Also it's aluminum. Any ideas on how much it will knock off my 1/4, considering I probably won't have it installed until near spring.

I'm not sure an intake does too much without a cam? The added air and flow from the carb might actually add some time to your 1/4 mile unless you throw in an upgraded cam I'm pretty sure. Regardless, TTT for you.
BTW you might want to post your time slips so that people know what you're working with.

it will add a little more power but nothing too fantastic, ditto inwo, put in a bigger cam with that intake and it will be a BIG power gain.

My motor is under warrant for another 2 years and I don't want to mess around with internals. I think I'm going to skip that for now, I found a really good computer deal. In case anyone might be interested, Circuit City has this Sony flat screen, 1ghz, 60gb drive, DVD, CD-RW 16x for $500 after a $50 rebate, at least where I live, just thought I would share this good deal. Oh, and the last time I G-teched my car 15.61 @93mph, that was with a severely slipping tranny (had to let off the gas to shift faster), and a burnt plug wire. That was before the addition of gears and cat-back. I haven't had time to do another run, but I'm hoping low 14s.
