ok, so I wanna get a set of roller rockers for my car, but my mechanic is telling me that I can only use the crane gold rockers on tghe cam set-up that I am suing, but the max list if only .480. . so shouldn't I be able to use any 1.5 ratio rocker?? also, I have the center bolt valve covers, does this make a difference?? I am not to knowledgeable with valve train components, so if anyone can help me out that would be great. I ask mainly because as much as I want my car to have only the best parts I real don;t have the extra 300 to buy the cranes when I can get ones form summit that sound to me like they are exactly the same for 150. . . thanks for the help

My 383 is in the process of being built right now, hopefully to make it's debut by middle December. . . many more mods to come in the summer. . maybe some experimentations with juice. . have some track times my independence day.

 

you need SA rockers but crane isn't the only ones you can use. comp makes SA rockers, pn 1317 for 1.5 ans 1318 for 1.6. i'd buy the 1318s if it were me.

Normal full roller rockers will not work, you must use crane golds or some other expensive ones. If you want the best parts without going that expensive, get yourself a set of comp cams chromemoly roller tipped rockers. I really don't understand your ratio question; the max lift is calculated with a certain type of rocker, with 1.6 it would be higher... Some rockers will not work for you.
