Perma-Cool Maxi-Cool Coolers????
Has anyone ever used the Maxi-Cool dual-curcuit coolers? I want to use it for engine oil and for fuel. They have 3 different sizes looks like:
1-1/2" H X 10-1/2" W X 14" L
1-1/2" H X 10-1/2" W X 18" L
1-1/2" H X 10-1/2" W X 21" L
And I can get these with either a 10" 10-blade 900cfm fan, or a 10" 4 blade 1250cfm fan. First off...which of these will fit in a 92 TPI Camaro with AC (perfer the cooler with a fan)? Second, they have an engine oil cooler installation kit...which I believe routes the oil from the filter through the cooler and then back up into the engine (is this right?) but how would I get the fuel to the cooler? Im thinking I would have to extend the sending rubber fuel line (not the return line) to the cooler....and then have a rubber line from the cooler into the fuel rail connector (with an elbow or something). Does this sound right? And last...when installing the engine oil cooler installation kit.......if I start screwing the oil filter off...is the cooler adapter going to screw off of it as well...or will it hold in place? Also, will the oil in the cooler and lines to the cooler drain with it? if not...will that bit of old oil hurt anything? Ok sorry for the long post...thanks in advanced though.
