pre 80 block with stock manifolds
I am using a 1977 350 Chevy motor in my 84 Trans Am. I am using L-98 exhaust manifolds. What can I do about a dipstick? With the stick hole on the driver side I don't see how Im gonna be able to put one in without crushing the tube? Is there a way I can plug the dipstick hole and just not have a dipstick? And yes,I understand the problems associated with doing that, just need a temporary fix until I get headers. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can plug it, no problem. A little drive plug, like a freeze plug, works great. Just measure the hole diameter (I don't recall it off the top of my head) and get one that size.

Parts store.
When you put it in, put some sealer around it, and only tap it in a little bit, leave enough sticking out that you can grab it with pliers when you get the rest of the situation under control.
