7 good wires
Hey Guys,
This may be a really dumb question but I need to ask it anyways.
I've got a '92 Trans AM w/L98 engine. This past weekend I changed the distributor cap, rotor, and 7 of the ignition wires. Believe it or not the car had the ORIGINAL stuff on it, but I wasn't able to change that pesky #8 cylinder plug wire. I can't get to it through the top of the engine so I'm going to try to get under it but I'll need to borrow a friends floorjack and jackstands to do it (you reading this Hoop88Z?)
Anyhow the original wires were shot but as of now its got 7 new good aftermarket wires and 1 old wire on it as well as the new cap&rotor. Is it "bad" to drive the car like this??
Its not a daily driver, but I was planning on showing it off to a few friends this weekend (which will mean some spirited driving
) and I probably won't get to that wire until after. Is there anything wrong with putting a good 100 miles or so on it?
Again, may be a dumb question, but I have to ask.

Not sure what you constitute as "bad" but as long as there is a spark at the plug then thats all that matters. Doesn't matter how old it is. If it is so busted that it is not delivering spak, then you are in toruble driving with it like that.
