Hypereutectic piston to bore clearance??

Engine builders - what clearance should I run with a set of Speed Pro hypers in a 4.02 inch bore? Does 0.001 to 0.0015 sound right? I am measuring 0.0025 right now but some stuff I have read says it should be tighter than that.

i'd check with speed pro to see what they say, but guessing i'd look for more clearance since hyper pistons transfer a lot more combustion heat to the piston.

Hyper pistons usually call for less clearance since they dont expand as much as other pistons do. You should contact speed-pro though to see what sort of spec they have, every manufacturer has a spec all their own.
