what air cleaner do I use?

I know this is a dumb question.. but I just got the RAM JET 350 GM engine in my 82, (after some serious compatability problems) and the engine came with everything except the air cleaner.. what do I use? what model and where do i get it? that would help a ton guys.. thanks alot..

not exactly sure which motor the ram jet is but I'm thinking that's that new port fuel engine right? you probably need to fabricate something. I'd use some sort of silicon hose or something and a conical K&N. if the throttle body is the same as some factory model, you can probably find some ductwork from one of those models to start off with.

Looks like its just a simple little circle....measure it (my guess is that its about 4" or so) and then go to your hardware store...buy some 4" (or whatever size) AC ducting...pipe (PVC or aluminum or something)....or some sheetmetal....and make a custom air intake.

Perhaps something like this:

Or you can just use the stock TPI aircleaner (not sure if it'll be enough for the Ram Jet...though you can make a ram air setup such as this: https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/ramair.shtml and that may flow enough) and instead of using the stock rubber peice that goes from the intake to the air cleaner....use the AC ducting or sheet metal mentioned above. Let us now how it goes..and post pics!
