ZZ3/4 HEI Distributor vs. "normal" HEI
Is it a step up from the typical dies-at-4500-RPMs HEI of the 70's? I know they claim 355 horses out of those crate engines with that distributor.
Buddy has such a never-been-fired HEI from his ZZ3 crate that he converted to SD TPI. He's offering to sell it to me for use in my '57 to replace the old Pertronix-converted points distributor I'm using now. But, if it would need coil and module upgrades anyway, it might not be worth what he's asking.
Is it a significantly better piece than production HEI's?
