V6 MPFI -> V8 Carb swap: Throttle Cable?

As stated, I did the V8 swap, but now, my throttle cable is too long. Is there a way o modify my cable to the right length? Should I just buy a new one? I dont want to spend $30 for a new cable if dont have to.

I haven't priced them, but I have a hard time believing it would be $30. My new tranny shift cable was less than $60, and it's a lot more involved.

Bone yard, or check/ask for one on the TGO classifieds.

i was able to modify my cable to work, and it works great! I had to trim off some of the housing at the linkage end and I had to shorten the end at the pedal. I snippe doff the cable stops and put my own on with a second stop for saftey. Dont want it to come off when i'm racing and leave me stuck.

BTW: Solder does not stick to throttle cables
