when i turn the key it starts and then it runs rough and then dies...but when i start it and give it a lil gas then it runs fine after that. Any ideas?

 

Start by checking fuel pressure, timing, condition of ignition system, throttle position sensor. How long have you had the car and when was the last time a tune-up was done. Check also the oil pressure switch. Start at the top and work your way down and eliminate the most obvious.

Then post your findings.

 

If it starts fine when you do a clear-flood (or along the lines of), sounds like leaky injectors. Do a fuel pressure test.
