50,000 mile maintence/upgrades
my 1991 GTA is coming up on the 50K mark. Known problems include the white smoke coming out of the tailpipe at start up (valve seal leak?). What maintenece/parts replacement/etc. do I need to perform at this mileage?
Thanks!

i would change all fluids
replace tranny filter
and install a drain plug
then you can keep draining the fluid to get it cylced out
get a turkey baster thingie
you can suck brake fluid out of the master cyl and refill
you can suck out your power steering fluid
i would replace rear diff as well
drain coolant
inspect all belts and hoses
clean the over flow bottle with 2+2 cleaner
refill rad and all other fluids
i also like using gunk engine flush when changing oils
and lube the ball joints, u-joints (if possible) etc.
if you haven't done plugs, wires cap, rotor etc, i'd add that to the list too
you can also flush the tranny by pulling the upper cooling line off the rad, and put it in a clear bottle, run the motor till 1/2 jug is full, put some fluid in the tranny, and keep doing this till the fluid comes out nice and red
three people come in real handy for that process
