What happens when you get the code? Does the car die? I believe 36 is a mass air burnoff relay error. It may just be a relay. Try disconnecting the MAF and starting the car to see if your problems go away. You will probably need a new burnoff relay($11 at a parts store) and you may need to clean off the sensor itself.
How much nos are you using to get into the 11s?
On second though, who/where did you get the prom for your car? I have heard mention that minirams are very hard to tune and are not easy to get running well.

My89,
There are only a few things that can cause a "36".
1. A faulty MAF burnoff relay (most common cause);
2. Faulty wiring to the MAF (including the connector at the MAF);
3. Intermittent closure and opening of the auxilliary oil pressure switch when the engine is shut off, interrupting the burnoff cycle;
4. A failed MAF. The burnoff control transistor may be open, preventing current flow to clean the hot wire.
I suppose there could be some really obscure causes, like a flaky PROM or ECM, but that would usually manifest itself with other symptoms as well, not just a burnoff failure.
If you really want to dump the MiniRam, toss it my way. I might even give you a new Holley carb in return.
