Climate Control Valve...

Hey, sorry if this is on the wrong board; mods, feel free to move it...

I'm not entirely sure what this thing is called, but it's the circular vacuum switch on the climate control panel that has about 5 or so vacuum hoses going into it--I'll call it the "climate control valve". Anyways, I recently had to replace this with a new one because the old one split in half (the rotating disc part was just hanging in place because it snapped at the shaft). I put the new one in, but I realized when I did that I couldn't find any indication as to what direction it needed to be installed--I figured it didn't matter, but if it did, you could easily install it 180deg out.

Well, I've tried both directions at this point and I'm not having luck with either. As it stands right now, I'm getting a hissing sound from behind the panel no matter what setting I have the panel at. No air comes out of the vents, although the fan does come on. I get air out of the lower vents when it's in MAX AC or Normal AC. Basically, it's completely haywire and useless.

What else do I need to be checking if I'm having these problems? Think I might have gotten the wrong valve?

Thanks
