i got a 350 block! question
i did searches, i currently have a 305 with 9k miles on that i rebuilt, came across a good deal on a 638 350 complete minus heads, going to work on it in my spare time, i'm converting to TPI currently on the 305, how much power can a 350 tpi typically make? here are my thoughts nothing in stone yet
350 + .30 over
pistons for 58cc heads to yield around 9.5:1 compression
LPE 74211 cam 211/219 .530"/.560" with 1.6 roller tip rockers
my current WP S/r torquer 305 heads, (will port them)
everything i have now
headers
3" catback
ported plenum, accel base, accel runners, stock TB
what do you think?

I would consider swapping to a mini-ram, stealth ram type setup and get the equipment or pay someone to burn you a chip. That or keep it carbed. You can make more horsepower with a good aftermarket intake and the q-jet versus tpi. That and your 3.73's will like it!!!
Edit: Just saw you already had the runners and base. The TPI will be a torque monster, but crap out around 5000 rpm give or take. On the other hand, with a different cam and intake you can have an engine that makes more horsepower up top, still decent torque, with less expense. Look at what five7kid's doing with his carbed setup....12's on a nice setup that didn't cost an arm and a leg and is easily tuned (carb). Just the right combo of parts. Also, the 3.73's will be too much gear for a TPI.

well i'm going to keep the tpi for now, thinking about the stealtram later, but how will that cam work with the tpi and then later stealth ram, i'm already in to this fuel injection project, no more carbs for me. i can burn my own chips...well i have the equipment too, one more project to learn

That cam was designed for TPI, so it should work fine. As far as the stealth ram, when you get there I would call comp cams and ask for a recommendation. The stealth ram is designed to make power up top, and you will get the most out of it with the right cam.
