Heater Trouble Help it's cold!!!

Alright, I am having trouble with my 92' rs. My problem is that the heat in the car is always luke warm, it never gets nice and toasty. I have already checked pretty well everything. It has plenty of coolant, heater core is fine it is not clogged up or anything, the heater hoses coming off the heater control valve are hot, it has a 195 thermostat in it that I put in about 3 weeks ago ( yes it is in right) It blows air like it should, the air just isn't hot it's luke warm. I live in michigan so it is a little cold. I am at a loss. I hope somebody here can help me out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just a dumb question but what is your temp gauge doing?

Does it go right up or does it lay on the bottom, If your thermostat is gone or stuck it will take quite a while to get decent heat when its cold out.

The temp. goes up correctly and stays just below 220 normally, and goes up a bit in heavy traffic.

And I've burped the cooling system 3 times.

OK, just to recap....

Had good heat last week..
Heater core went bad (puking coolant all over floor), so I replaced it.
Refilled coolant
bam, no heat.
Burped the system, that helped, now I have warm heat.
replaced heater control valve, no change
burped system 3x more, still no help
coolant temp. goes right where it should and always has.
heat gets warmer if I rev the engine. For example. I sit there at idle, the heat is luke warm, I rev the engine to 2k and hold it, the heat gets hotter.

Help?

As long as the temp door is operating correctly, I would check the heater control valve, and verify it is open with the heat on. Is the vacuum line on it? Grab the hoses going to the core and make sure they're hot.

Also, how did you "burp" the system? All you should have to do is let it run for awhile at operating temp. with the radiator cap off to get all the air out.

I used a spill-proof funnel, just to make sure i got all the air out.

I'm leaning toward having a bad core, so I went back to work and got another one and I'm gonna change it out again.

Rev it to 2 grand and it get's hotter? sounds like a water pump problem. Pull the cap, start the engine, let it warm up and watch the coolant flow. It should be moving quite a bit even at idle speed. coolant level should be about 2in below the filler neck and flowing briskly when the thermostat opens. I find it hard to believe that a rebuilt or new heater core would be blocked or restricted.

ok i just posted the same ? . i have good flow in the radiator and coming from the heater core. you can see fluid coming out at a constant flow. and all hoses get warm like there are supose to. and the fan blows like there is no tommorow . i replaced the temp control valve and still no heat. one time it did and stoped . i think there is a bad vacuum line but i have no vacuum diagram. if you could help with diagrams or to were i can find some for free it would be much appreciated . ty or if you think of anything else. o also its an 88 camaro 305 tbi ty

I changed out the _new_ heater core, and I have heat now.

Must have just been a bad core.
