Help! Dropped piece of plastic down the defrost duct...Vader or anyone..
Vader or anyone that knows the duct routing:
I was working on the car tonight, and I had a plastic cap from a bottle of locktite on the dash, and well of course I bumped it and it fell into the defrost duct on the drivers side! Where does it lead to? I have the dash pad off, and all the other panels on the drivers side (under the steering wheel) off. I cant seem to see where that duct goes to. I can see where the middle upper AC duct is, but where does the Defrost duct lead to (What route). I am Neurotic about **** like this. I don't want anything rattling in the car. I have worked hard at eliminating any minor rattles this car has had, so it will really bother me to leave this in there. I wish I could see down from the top, and fit a vacuum cleaner in there, but that won't fit. Thanks for any advice!!! (89 5.7 GTA)

I'd leave it man, I really don't think that you'll ever hear it rattling around. I've dropped a buttload of things down there, sockets, caps, pens, sandwiches, little children...

UPDATE:::
Thanks for the advice guys. When I got to work this morning I attached a piece of small diameter long hose with tape to the end of my 5 horse Rigid wet-dry vacuum and poked it down the defrost holes. I got the piece out in about 30 seconds. This is a good way for you guys to get some of that loose change and odds and ends you have dropped into your vents out.
Later and thanks again
