Small dent in one of the cylinders

I just noticed a small dent in one of my cylinders, looks like the cause came from the outside, I'm just wondering if this effects performance a lot. I'll have a pic up tommorrow.

Dent in a cylinder, or in an intake runner? A small dent in a runner will make no real difference.

If its a cylinder the piston will either wedge in there and seize up the engine or it will wear a big chunk out of it...

I would imagine your talking about one of the TPI runners, if somethings gone through the block and dented the cylinder and your asking if its ok you need you head examined

Im wondering if youre not saying "cylinder" but meaning "piston". small dents in the top of the piston shouldnt make much of a differece, but i would definately want to find out what made the dent. if you've got stuff flying around in the cylinder with a piston traveling < 1000 mph like they do, i'd be afraid of that "stuff" making making more than "dents".

Stop giving Taxachusetts a bad name.

So what exactly has the dent?
