bad fuel pump AGAIN??????

bad fuel pump AGAIN??????

k guys got my fuel pump replace a little ways back and now i think i might have went out again. i was driving down the road and my car just started starving for fuel and bogging down then it just died pulled off 2 the side of the road tried starting it nothing waited a bit and i heard the fuel pump kick on and tried cranking it and it fired right up then i went back 2 my house and the next day tried 2 start it but all i hear was a POP from the fuel pump it does it every time i put the key in the on position and the car wont start

is this fuel pump shot or does it sound like bad realys grounding out ????

If the fuel pump relay is losing contact the oil pressure switch should keep the car running. There is a plug in connection in the top of the tank, inside the tank, and I've seen this get corroded, even burnt, and cause just what you're seeing. I'd hot wire the pump for a few days to rule out all other stuff before dropping that tank again though.

what do you mean by "hotwire" the pump could you explain maybe show some photos

Hotwire as in run a wire direct from the battery to a toggle switch to the pump. That will rule out the ECM and sensors.
