what size is my distributor shaft? .5 or .491? i need a new drive gear and don't really want to take the distributor out if i don't have too since i need to be useing the truck.
also, last night my SECOND throwout bearing went. first time i was decelerating to a light and it blew apart as i pushed the clutch in to shift into second. last night it happened as i was releasing the clutch coming out of dunkin doughnuts...what would cause this?!?!?! i'm going to get a high performance one from jegs that supposivly can widtchstand high temps, pressures, and vibration. but what would cause this so if its something else i can fix it???
i was thinking maybe the s-10 master cylinder i'm useing has to long of a stroke and is pushing the bearing really hard into those clutch fingers...
also while i'm in there i'm going to replace the pilot bushing and get the correct clutch fork. could that be it? my clutch fork doesn't seem right. its on the throwout bearing and the pivet bolt right but the rod for the slave cylinder is all cocked wrong towrds the bellhouseing. its even rubbing on the side of the slave cylinder houseing...
sorry for the long post but i wanted to give all details...
