I'm replacing the intake gaskets on a friends '89 TBI camaro. It has some little clips on the outer 4 intake bolt hold (on the head). They are shaped like little cups with 3 ears on them. The only thing I can figure is, they just to hold the intake gasket in place? are they required? I've asked around but can't find anyone that has heard of them before.
