What's wrong with my 350TPI?
Ok, so i install a new fuel pump, fuel filter.
I couldnt wait to order 1 online so until I can I went ahead and bought an accu flow 2P74006 from the parts store. They looked up to make sure it was for a TPI and not a TBI. Mines a 350TPI. The book says (50lbs) pressure.
ok, so It works ok.
Now, I am going to have to maybe replace what seems to be the rear seal leaking in this motor but I want to see what is...if anything...is wrong with the motor. Its been sitting for 2 years. I have new gas in it and heres what it does.
When cold, it cranks right up and runs fine. now after about a min or so, the check engine light comes on and it starts runnig like crap. It does it the same time the light comes on.
After it sits a few hours or overnight, it will crank up and run fine again for about 30 secs to 90 secs and then poof! light comes on and it cuts out and runs rough.
Barely having any power. Its a 1991 Z28 350TPI.

Click Miscellaneous Info and it's right there. The connector is located under your dash probably somewhere relatively close to your fuse panel.
The code will either tell you whats causing your problem seeing that it comes on at the same time....or it will give you a symptom related to your problem, like O2 sensor indicating lean or something.

I once had an '85 TPI T/A that did exactly what you describe. I was too busy at the time to do it myself, a friend of mine replaced one or more relays on the firewall on the driver's side, at least one was toast. That's all he did, and the car ran great after that.
Just thought I would pass that along...
