building a high powerband motor

My next motor will be something that can make power at a high RPM. I was thinking something along the lines of 3500- 7500. I know of one guy on here running one and i was curious to see if anybody is running this kind of setup.

What cam, heads, and intake setup did you go with?

Anything special done to the bottom end?

i plan on running that high, actually higher .my bottom end is all forged. Not too many ppl run it that high on this board.I think if build a good bottom end u shouldnt worry about spining the motor high.

im running brodix 18c heads.Brodix intake.Crower shaft rocker setup.I still have to buy a cam(solid roller of course).

After seeing some Small block motors making 800+hp NA i was hooked.

goodluck on your project.

Make a good selection on parts and build it well. Very well. If the top end supports, the bottom end (assuming it's strong) will follow.

Rules forced the 23° valvetrain for me.

Also think about taking a 400SB and de-tuning it. making it only displace out 350 or 383. Its also called de-stroking. i have known many people who have effectivly built these to run up to 10,000 hp (full drag motor wouldnt recommend that high of a powerband)
