helicoils in intake port

I am putting together a 406 and am using a set of e-tec 200 heads. I was looking them over and in all the intake ports the rocker stud helicoils extend about 1/8 into the ports. Should I grind them down or leave them alone.

put the studs in and grind the helicoils off.

Is this fairly common with aftermarket heads? I just hate to think of the filings flying around. How much do they interupt airflow when left alone?
