Crate Engine

Its getting near the time of either :
a: recon old 305 [ok you can stop laughing].
b: purchase replacement 350.

Ive looked at lots of engines, all the ones here are either all ex-corvette [of course] , or all need re-conditioning , or both.
Bearing in mind a 350 will drop straight in, which is what i want. I have a performer manifold, carb, Mallory dizzy, and loads of stuff that will fit a 350, so i'm not wanting to go bigger for any reason.
I've looked at Goodwrench engines, just the basic 350, but prices vary quite a bit, but they dont need an old unit, and of course any warranty is going to be pretty useless to me.
There probably might be better, but they would have to have a good rep, and be similar money.

Anyone know of anywhere that has these at really good prices and will ship to the UK?

all of these companies will offer shipping for crate motors. I have been down the same path as you mate as in looking for a crate engine. One of the guys off a U.K forum ( www.aacint.com ) recently got a freshly rebuilt engine off a guy from Ebay. Thing to look out for is shipping / vat / duties costs as these are very high mate , i was qouted £500 to ship a short block over,.

Just got an e-mail back off Summit.
The Goodwrench engine price was ok, the shipping was $750.
Anyone coming to the UK with a large suitcase?
