Hyd roller cam for solid roller?
I called herbert performance about a solid roller for my 383. They stated that the cam I have in there right now is for a solid roller ,when I originally bought this cam for a hyd roller ( I ordered a small base circle =billet core). They asked for a part #(CH7) and stated if it's a billet core it's a solid roller . All this time I have been running a solid roller cam with hyd. roller lifters according to them. If this is the case and no damamge to valvetrain , it would be nice not having to swap the cam and just worry about the pushrods , lifters and springs. To good to be true?

Apparently that grind can be used as a solid or hyd. roller. I talked to their live help and they were able to recommend the valve springs for my cam grind. I love their customer service and products >>>>www.dougherbert.com
