Ok, I'm looking for some input and wanna know what you guys think I should do/go with...


AFR 180 Street Head - 2.02/1.60 - 255/190 flow numbers
Some type of Flat top pistons
LT1 Intake/52mm BBK tb
1 5/8 Headers w/ypipe, 3" cat and single exit w/Bullet 3"

What cam should I run? .5xx too high? Maybe even 510 or so?

I'll prolly have 1.6 rockers too....

 

well steve,if you can afford afr heads can you swing a roller cam and lifters?you say street heads,do you know the intake runner size or part #?that would help a lot!in my opinion,duration and overlap along with ramp rates mean more to overall performance than lift alone.add to that exactly what you want your engine to do,compresion ratio,trans. ratios,torque converter stall,
rear gear ratios,tire size, i guess what i'm trying to say is that cam selection is a very delicate decision and we'd need all this info to help you make the best decision(and the one that would make you happiest)!

AFR 180cc runners...On the website they have them as 255intake and 190 for the exhaust. Tq Converter would prolly be the 2400 holeshot, I have 2.73's right now but I'm swapping out for the 3.45 later on. My tranny will also be built up with the Stage 2 goodies. I want around 9.5:1 or so...anything above doesn't really matter but thats what I'm shooting for. 10 flat is cool too. How much would these heads run me?
