305, 307's were only available till 76 and should not have a engine size casting.

Only chevy has a 305, is the engine a small block chevy, or an oldsmobile 307?

Does it look like this, but with out the hoses?

ok! the fuel pump is different! mine has a 9/16 bolt on bottom and another one on top that when you loosen lets the pump slide downward to remove it also the pump to carb line is on top!

It's a 307, which was an Oldsmobile engine.
