Still hesitating, need some testing procedures?
Hi
My Lo3 has everything new (pump, ecm, sensors, pluggs, rotor capetc.)
Main problem is when I wanna do a burn out and powerbrake the car goes up to 1000RPM and stumbbles and if done few times it dies.
Now this has been going on for a while (since august last year) and I have been replacing everything.
I wanna know what your take is on this. Note the whole TBI system has been re-built and new pump with fuel filter is in.
On the side note.
Be carefull when you close your car doors. I wasn't and this is what happened. And yes its going to be a stump!

sounds to me like either a bad module, or your coil's on its way out.
BTW, thats the most digusting thing i've seen in all day.

Hmmmm. I did test my p-up coil and it was working fine.
My coil is MSD blaster and I tried my stock one as well as an accell one and they both did the same thing!

did you check the module inside the distrubtor? the dielecric gel may not be making good enough contact. pull a plug wire, have a firend turn the engine over, and use an old spark plug to see how the spark is coming through. could also be that your plug gaps are too wide.
other than at full throttle, how does the car run? it may seem trivial and stupid, but how's the timing?

I took my distributor off today and checked everything and it looked fine. Put it back in an the car was working normaly with torque on the bottom end. Two mins. later the car went back to crap!
Than later on I try powerbraking and it struggled a bit and it revved up!
It revved up and I did a burnout. It was a first one in 8 months.
I know that it has something to do with the ignition. Maybe my primary ignition is bad or so.
I am not sure how to test for the ignition.
The pluggs are gapped at 35 each. All of them are firing!
In the lower end its sluggish, like it will bogg than just spring and go. Sometimes now it get that bottom end, now that I messed with the distributor.
I am thinking that it must have to do with either to coil or ICM!
If not I don't know what!??!
Never had a problem starting the car, and it only dies when I try to powerbrake and do a burnout!

Timing is at 4# and I am running the TBI stage 2 chip from TBI chips.com
I tried running with my stock one and the same problem came up!
