Trouble Code 36

I got trouble code 36 on my TA. So I replaced the MAF burn off and power relays. I turned the engine on again and the engine light poppwed up again instantly, as if I had done nothing to the problem. There was no hesitation or anything. Any idea what I should do next?

nope, no more trouble code 36, note that I did not drive the car around, in fact the engine wouldnt even start, it rotated but no start, I figure its prolly the alternator cuz after ratating for a while I heard this whirring noise near the front of the engine and listened closely to the alternator, cuz I know the alternator does this whirring sound when it wont start. Also, I tightedned my alternators belt as tight as I could, do u think I oculd have tighted it too much? As for now I just keep gettin trouble code 12.
