best cam size for stock heads

i was wondering what cam size i should go with , i have a 85 305 LG4 with stock heads and i was wondering what size i can go with

Try doing a search on the subject, it is a very common question.


If you havent upgraded the factory exhaust from the manifolds back, your simply wasting your money on a camshaft.

With headers, a full 3" mandrel bent exhaust and some carb tuning, it would be like a night and day difference from stock trim. Then a camshaft would be a decent upgrade, only after this.
