fuel pump wont stop running
Hey guys.Been messin with my buddys 89 IROC-Z.We replaced the motor and now the fuel pump wont stop running.Even with the key in the off position. If I pull the ECM fuse(passenger side radiator support)the pump will shut off.I have checked all grounds and changed the FPR.He is also running a holley stealth ram but it was on the previous engine.I have done some searches but no luck there.Any help would be appreciated.Later

Well if I were you I'd put a couple spades into the fuse, run an inline fuse, and a switch... But yeah I realize you wanna do it *right*...lol wish I could help. But for whatever reason, the fuel pump is getting power constantly so check all the wiring all the way back. Its going through the fuse panel since the fuse will kill it, but somewhere along the way it's getting a direct feed and bypassing the ignition column.

Pull the plug off the oil press switch located just above the oil filter. This switch powers the fuel pump and they occasionally stick in the closed position.
If pump still continues to run, try swapping the fuel pump relay with one of the other relays next to it (MAF power & MAF burn-off relays). The relay may be stuck in the closed position.
