IAC problems
I tried to set the minimum air for the IAC. I grounded the A and B terminals, turned on the ignition and let it sit for 45 seconds, and disconnected the IAC. I then set the minimum air to 500 rpms in drive, and after reconnecting the IAC, the car idled at around 700, which seemed fine to me, except there was now a SES light. I shut off the car, went inside, came out about an hour later and started the car. For some reason it now idled at 2000 rpm in park. Since I had to go, I just turned down the minimum air adjustment screw to bring the idle down to around 1200 in park so I could drive.
The whole time I'm driving now the SES light comes on and off, and occasionally I get a sudden power loss and the engine seems to stutter for a second or two.
What should I do now? I tried to set the IAC to make my idle better and now it's a whole lot worse - what did I do wrong?
Thanks for any help
Chris
